Bottle Drive in Camrose

Wow!  On Wednesday we held a bottle drive in Camrose that raised a little over $2000 for Faith and Love in Action.  I am overwhelemed by the generosity of the community of Camrose and so thankful to the Camrose Christian Homeschool Group who initated the bottle drive and worked so hard to make it happen.  What a team.

Today while we sorted all the bottles it began to snow and get a little colder. My fingers were stinging and I was getting hungy.  I know there was no way I was the only one whose stomach was growling or who felt the cold  and yet there was no complaining, not even from the young children who were helping.  When you think about it, while we may have experienced a little bit of discomfort it is nothing compared to the horrific conditions of the Haitian people we are trying to reach out to.

I have to admit, when the bottle drive was first suggested to me I thought perhaps we would be able to raise three or four hundred dollars.  I never would have dreamed we would make such a large amount of money.

Love,
Teri
